It looks like fun marathon although I think all of the Genki aid stations might slow a runner down! I'm sure I would slow down long enough to get a bite of wagyu.Clinton Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02152048527944373385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5301892166074599914.post-34690562595485000432016-09-22T14:01:28.755+09:002016-09-22T14:01:28.755+09:00Hi Clinton,

I received the race pack collection notification by email a few days ago. Came with a link to the English version of the marathon guide which is not found on the Abashiri Marathon home page. https://jtbsports.files.wordpress.com/2016/09/e88bb1e8aa9e1.pdf

They serve wagyu at 33km!

SupernovaSupernovahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00864419524992223122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5301892166074599914.post-86005583029036304882016-06-22T09:56:01.773+09:002016-06-22T09:56:01.773+09:00"I DON'T know of any services for that.&q..."I DON'T know of any services for that."Clinton Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02152048527944373385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5301892166074599914.post-74511668529899233082016-06-22T09:50:03.945+09:002016-06-22T09:50:03.945+09:00Do you have any contacts in Japan? I THINK that you have to have a Japanese method of payment like a credit card or a bank account in Japan. Supernova, can you confirm this?Clinton Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02152048527944373385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5301892166074599914.post-39454956849883317552016-06-21T17:57:07.154+09:002016-06-21T17:57:07.154+09:00Hi Clinton,

I am just wondering whether there are any services in Japan that can enable us overseas participants to join their run by providing a japanese address for them to mail the race entitlement before our arrival?

We are a company of 4 coming from Malaysia and would love to join the Sapporo Half Marathon (now full, so if possible we will join in the 10km run) in 2 Oct, but we will only be arriving on 24 Sep.

Would appreciate any kind of advice :-) Thanks!

Best Regards,
Karen
KTeohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12551975620273790651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5301892166074599914.post-37979459845248721172016-06-13T14:53:18.454+09:002016-06-13T14:53:18.454+09:00Supernova, thanks for the information. It is funny that the JAL Chitose "International" Marathon is not easier to apply for.Clinton Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02152048527944373385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5301892166074599914.post-49492898066243747842016-06-11T00:46:54.156+09:002016-06-11T00:46:54.156+09:00I was so happy to see the JTB Sports Station logo ...I was so happy to see the JTB Sports Station logo at the Abashiri Marathon website and had already applied for entry. The entire process was a breeze. Just like my previous entry for the Toyama 2015 Marathon through JTB.

In contrast, the JAL Chitose Marathon which I had just completed last Sunday was really difficult to apply for through Runnet. Had to get a Japanese friend whose address I used, to forward the race bib collection letter to my hotel. I had arrived in Hokkaido not knowing if I would receive the letter and whether I could end up running! But everything turned out well. The weather was sunny and the 34km of forest trail was a change from the road races that I had previously done. Supernovahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00864419524992223122noreply@blogger.com
