Mokotoyama - Kusharo Lake Trail Run

I just got wind of a trail run held at Kusharo Lake north of Kushiro.  It is too late to join the event this year but if they do it again next year I'll be there for sure!

The 2nd annual Asahikawa Half Marathon, reborn from the ashes of the Asahikawa Full & Half Marathon which ended three years ago. This is a flat fast course run along the Asahikawa River in Asahikawa City which takes you over and under the many bridges crossing the river.

This is a fairly flat and fast course that takes you from the Takikawa train station out of the city and along the river and back.

Apply by July 22nd! Can apply online at runnet. 1300Yen! Run from the cape of Nosappu down to Nemuro City Hall. Great views and great seafood to be had in Nemuro.

The first and last few km are on Shintoku's grass course and then you run out of the park and up a steep hill and out into the surrounding farm land. Usually, there is a jitsugyodan team there for a camp and they usually run along with the other runners to encourage them along.
This is the only race that has allowed me to run with my kids in our jogging stroller.
